The FCC announced the names of the interconnected VoIP providers that filed proposals to participate in VoIP numbering trials. They are: Vonage Holdings Corp,
SmartEdgeNet, LLC, WilTel Communications, LLC, Intelepeer, Inc. (formally,
VoEx, Inc.), and Millicorp. The trials will allow them to obtain telephone
numbers directly from the number administrators.
Each proposal will be approved 30 days after it was filed unless the FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau finds that the proposal does not comply with the requirements established by the FCC.
