The Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act 2010 (CVAA), according to the FCC website, was “enacted to ensure that persons with disabilities have access to innovative communications technologies of the 21st-century, such as email and text messaging.” The act, in general, requires that both providers of and manufacturers of equipment for advanced communications services, ” make their products and services accessible to and usable by persons with disabilities.”
