The Nebraska PSC has revised its rules governing the collection and remittance of the Telephone Relay System (TRS) and Enhanced Wireless 911 (wireless E-911) charges. The changes to the TRS rules require that:
- all carriers file their remittances electronically, in a manner similar to that used for the Nebraska Universal Service (USF) Fund.
- both the TRS and wireless E-911 rules will no longer apply to prepaid wireless services which are now subject to a separate Prepaid Wireless (PPW) surcharge.
The rule changes are effective July 22, 2013.
