FCC Announces Additional Membership to NANC and Working Groups
The FCC announced the appointment of additional members to serve on the North American Numbering Council (NANC) during the two-year term of its renewed charter running from September 2021 to September 2023. In addition, members have appointed members to serve on the Numbering Administration Oversight Working Group and the Call Authentication Trust Anchor Working Group. Pre-Application Conference Set for Iowa Broadband Grant Program
Iowa is making $200,000,000 in federal American Rescue Plan Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds available for broadband expansion in the state. The Office of the Chief Information Officer (the Office) has issued a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) #007 pursuant to the Empower Rural Iowa Broadband Grant Program to distribute the funds. The window to submit applications opens October 25, 2021. The Office will hold a Pre-Application Conference to discuss a high-level view of the program, including the requirements prescribed by this NOFA. Participants will be given an opportunity to ask questions at this time. Participants must register in advance at the link provided here in order to attend.
