North American Numbering Council
The FCC announced that the next meeting of the North American Numbering Council (NANC) will take place on September 17, 2014. The agenda includes reports from NANPA, the National Thousands Block Pooling Administrator, the Numbering Oversight Working Group, the North American Numbering Plan Billing and Collection Agent, the Billing and Collection Working Group, the North American Portability Management LLC, the Local Number Portability Administration (LNPA) Selection Working Group, the LNPA Working Group, the Future of Numbering Working Group, the Internet Protocol Issue Management Group, and a report on the status of the Industry Numbering Committee activities.
Qwest filed an Advice Letter to implement a new structure for the products and services, rates, and terms and conditions found in its Exchange and Network Services Tariff COLO.P.U.C. NO.23 and that it said are consistent with the passage of HB14-1331 and with the requirements of Public Utilities Law. TMI Regulatory Bulletin Service subscribers see Bulletin dated 6/9/14. In addition, Qwest filed a replacement tariff, Exchange and Network Services Tariff COLO.P.U.C.NO 25, which retains products and service descriptions, rates, and terms and conditions for Emergency Reporting Service and Telecommunications Relay Service only and eliminates all other products and services, rates, and terms and conditions previously existing in COLO.P.U.C. NO.23. Qwest said that it anticipates that all other products and services, rates, and terms and conditions will be available in its Catalog or Local Terms of Service. The Commission has determined that good cause exists to suspend the effective date of the tariff pages filed by Qwest and set the matter for hearing.
